
Dr. David McCrystle graduated from the University of California at Davis Veterinary School in 1967. He practiced two years in St. Helena and then moved to Healdsburg. Besides being the owner of Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital for the past 31 years, he has also been involved in teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College for over 20 years. He has served on the Healdsburg Future Farmer Fair Board for 30 years, on the soccer board, school board and has been involved in numerous other community activities. Dr. David McCrystle has also been actively involved in the local and state veterinary associations as well as the National Sheep Veterinary Association. He has recently completed his term as Chairman of the Board of the American Veterinary Medical Association after being actively involved in the association for over 20 years.
Dr. McCrystle is married to his wife Karen, and they have two children.

Lisa, Veterinary Assistant and Office Manager: Lisa has been employed at Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital since 2001. It brings her much joy to work with the animals and the clients. Lisa was born and raised in San Rafael and moved to Sonoma County in 1990. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two wonderful daughters together. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, her 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 8 chickens. She also loves hiking and gardening, and is a wonderful cook.

Jenna, Veterinary Assistant: Jenna was born and raised in Cloverdale and has always had a love for both sports and animals. After graduating from high school, she attended Santa Rosa Junior College and took classes to prepare her to be a veterinary assistant. Jenna has known Dr. McCrystle since she was a little girl and began working for him September of 2004. She is very compassionate and has a special knack for dealing with animals, even the most unruly ones. Jenna is currently taking classes to prepare her for the California Veterinary Technician Exam.

Debbie, Receptionist: Born and raised in Alexander Valley, Debbie enjoys being a part of the Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital, where she and her husband have taken their pets for years before she joined the staff in 2005. She resides in Geyserville with her husband Pat, and they have a son and daughter, two Labradors named Lizzie and Luke, two cats named Tommy and Tommy's Friend, and a Russian tortoise Homer.
Heidi, Assistant: Heidi has been volunteering on Mondays at Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital since October 2010. She currently lives in Windsor with her husband and two young daughters, along with her English Bulldog Annabelle and kittens Tiger and Rosie. She is currently attending the Santa Rosa Junior Collage to obtain her Veterinary Technician Certificate and hopes to site for the R.V.T. exam within the next few years. In addition to becoming a registered veterinary technician, Heidi also has an interest in becoming a certified dog trainer in the near future.
Bridgett, Assistant: Bridgett started at Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital in November 2010. She grew up in Cloverdale and now lives locally. She is curently in the Veterinary Technician Program at Santa Rosa Junior College. She has two dogs and one cat. She enjoys spending time with all her animals camping, hunting, swimmming, basically anything outdoors.
Calvin is the hospital grump... AKA greeter.
